Description

Explore this modern, expansive, privately owned, working alfalfa farm of 200 rolling hectres of succulent Klein Karoo. Around 3000 ostriches browse the pastures and hundreds of Springbok and other naturally occurring game make this farm their home.

A unique fossilized riverbed system, winds its way through a wild flower paradise.

To fully enjoy De Zeekoe Guest Farm, Oudtshoorn and surrounds, a two to three day stay is highly recommended. An outdoor paradise, fishing, canoeing, biking and hiking along the many nature trails to be enjoyed in safety within the borders of the farm. The Incredible Cango Caves the great Swartberg and Outeniqua Mountain passes are other attractions in the vicinity worth a visit.

Located along the world famous R62 wine route, from Cape Town to Mossel Bay where it enters the Garden Route on the N2. Four hours from Cape Town, seven minutes from Oudtshoorn, and only two hours from Knysna!

Directions

DIRECTIONS FROM  CAPE TOWN VIA N2, ± 4½ HOURS DRIVE:

  1. From Cape Town to Oudtshoorn travel along the N2.
  2. Pass Swellendam, and head towards R324 to Barrydale.
  3. From Barrydale travel on R62 to Ladismith.
  4. At Ladismith turn to Calitzdorp to the east.
  5. About 500 m before entering the town of Oudtshoorn turn right on the R328 to Mossel Bay.
  6. Travel down the R328 for ± 7 km until you see the De Zeekoe Guest Farm sign, and then turn right onto a good gravel road for another 2 km to the main lodge. 

DIRECTIONS FROM PORT ELIZABETH, ± 4 HOURS DRIVE:

  1. From Port Elizabeth to Knysna travel along the N2.
  2. Travel straight through Knysna on the N2.
  3. Continue on the N2 to George and then take the R29 North towards Oudtshoorn, which is well sign posted and becomes R62.
  4. You will arrive in Oudtshoorn on Langenhoven Road. At the first traffic light turn left onto Voortrekker Road.
  5. Travel through the town of Oudtshoorn on R62 still.
  6. About 500 m after leaving the town of Oudtshoorn turn left on the R328 to Mossel Bay.
  7. Travel down the R328 for ± 7 km until seeing the De Zeekoe Guest Farm sign, and then turn right onto a good gravel road for another 2 km to the main lodge.
